CommitSEO

SEO changes you can verify.

CommitSEO finds what's costing you search traffic and fixes it on your site. Every change states its hypothesis before it ships, is checked on your live page afterwards and is measured against pages we did not touch. You see the proof, including when we cannot tell.

What a change looks like

Every change shows what it replaced, why it was made, when its terms were fixed and whether Google has seen it.

CommitSEO change card: a page title shortened from 'Running Shoes - Buy Best Running Shoes Online | Example S...' to 'Running Shoes for Every Distance | Example Shop', shown as before and after search results, with the reason for the change and the proof that it is live.

Proof, not promises

The hypothesis comes first

Before a change goes live, we record what we expect it to do and how we will measure it. The record carries a fingerprint from that moment, so the conditions shown next to the result can be checked against it.

Checked on your live page

After every write we fetch the real page and compare it with what we intended. A change that did not show up is reverted, not reported as a success.

Measured against a control group

Search Console results are compared with similar pages we did not change, not just before and after. When the data is not enough to tell, the report says "inconclusive".

Every change can be undone

Each change carries its own undo and a full history of what it replaced and why. You can revert any single change in one click.

How it works

01

Crawl your site

We fetch every page we can find - sitemap first, then links; JavaScript-heavy pages are rendered in a real browser - so there's something to audit.

02

Audit

Deterministic rules first (missing titles, broken canonicals), then Claude drafts fixes for what's left.

03

Propose changes

Shows you before/after preview. You approve it, or let the system handle it going forward.

04

Apply safely

WordPress plugin or Cloudflare Worker writes the change - never guessing, always verified against your live page.

05

Verify live

Fetches the URL with cache-busting to confirm the change actually went through, not just that an API returned 200.

06

Measure impact

Search Console tracks clicks, impressions, position. Diff-in-diff + CUPED on matched control group, not naive before/after.

07

Keep or revert

Flagged for your review if traffic drops or 5xx errors spike, with the measured range and what we could not tell.

You're always in control

Choose how autonomous the system is - from fully manual to full autopilot with safety checks.

Paused - Manual only
Worker never touches your site. You trigger every step from the panel.
Ask me first - pauses before writing (default)
Agent proposes, you approve every change. System waits for your "Commit now" click.
Autopilot - Applies and verifies automatically
Applies changes automatically and verifies each one on the live page, reverting any that don't show up. Traffic drops and error spikes are flagged to you, and you can revert anytime.

On Wix, Shopify, Squarespace, or HubSpot? We can't connect directly there (some platforms officially advise against it for safety). We can set up a managed companion blog for you instead - talk to us.

Frequently asked questions

What is CommitSEO?

CommitSEO is an automated SEO platform. It audits a website with 61 deterministic checks, writes the fixes (titles, meta descriptions, canonicals, robots tags, structured data, image alt text and more) directly to WordPress through a plugin or, for other stacks, through Cloudflare, verifies each change by re-fetching the live page, and measures its effect against a matched control group in Google Search Console.

Will this break my site?

Every write is verified by re-fetching the live page afterward (not trusting an API's 200 response), and every single change carries its own computed undo from the moment it's proposed. If a change doesn't show up on the live page right after it's written, it reverts automatically. If traffic drops or server errors spike afterwards, we flag it for you. You can undo a change in one click, as long as the field hasn't been edited elsewhere since.

Does it only work with WordPress?

No. WordPress has the deepest integration (a plugin), but CommitSEO also writes directly through Cloudflare Workers for any stack sitting behind Cloudflare -- Webflow, BigCommerce, Next.js, static sites, or custom builds. On platforms where a safe direct connection isn't possible (Wix, Shopify, Squarespace, HubSpot without Enterprise), we can set up a managed companion blog instead (talk to us).

Will it touch my page builder (Elementor, Divi, WPBakery)?

We never edit the builder's stored data (post_content or the builder's own layout data), which is exactly what tends to break when edited programmatically. Title, meta description, canonical, schema, robots tags and image alt text are changed directly. Improvements to on-page text are applied as a separate layer at display time, so they never touch what the builder saved and can be removed at any time.

Do I have to approve every change?

That's the default. CommitSEO proposes a change and waits for your "Commit now" click. If you'd rather it run fully autonomously, you can switch to autopilot per site -- it still verifies every write on the live page and reverts any that don't show up, flags traffic and error regressions for you, and you can always step back to manual review.

How do you measure whether a change actually worked?

Clicks, impressions, and position from Search Console, compared against a matched control group of similar pages using difference-in-differences (not a naive before/after, which can't tell a real effect from normal traffic swings).

What does the free audit actually check?

The free technical audit runs real checks against your homepage -- title, meta description, headings, canonical, structured data, Open Graph, SSL, and Core Web Vitals via Google PageSpeed Insights. The free GEO audit asks Claude directly whether it recommends your site for a relevant query. Both are instant and don't require an account.
